About Flip’s “Extremely Sorry” Soundtrack:
Volcom Entertainment has partnered with Flip Skateboards on the soundtrack to Flip’s highly anticipated third film project, Extremely Sorry. Flip Skateboards’ Extremely Sorry soundtrack has been years in the making and produced by UK premier league DJ, Baron. Best known for his Drum & Bass productions (Baron’s 2005 tracks, “At The Drive In” and “Drive in, Drive by” both reached the #1 spot on the UK Dance Charts), the soundtrack Baron has created for EXTREMELY SORRY instead features an array of musical styles designed to match each skater’s part in the film, crafting a completely unique audio/visual experience.
Baron worked closely for countless hours with Extremely Sorry assistant director, Ewan Bowman, to score original songs to match with each skater’s personal style; including one of the film's biggest stars, Geoff Rowley. It was also Rowley who helped Baron connect with the skaters to legitimize the process with them, as well as with the rest of the skateboard industry. Through the varied connections of Baron, Rowley and the rest of the Flip team, a wide assortment of major artists from the Rock, Rap and Punk worlds contributed vocals for songs on the soundtrack. Baron’s collaborations on Extremely Sorry includes Lemmy Kilmister (Motorhead), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Jim Lindberg (Pennywise), Mack Winston (Mack Winston and the Reflections), Black Mountain, ((Sounder)), Early Man, Snoop Dogg and Warren G.
About the “Extremely Sorry” Film:
Five years in the making, "Extremely Sorry" is the third release in the trilogy of Flip Skateboards’ "Sorry" video series. The world famous Flip Team has evolved over time, but their original spirit remains intact, with levels of skate madness continuing to build to ever increasingly insane levels.
Famous not only for their insane skateboarding skills, the Flip Team is as notorious for their renegade lifestyles (don't expect to see the Flip Team at the Olympics any time soon). Extremely Sorry was so named as a tongue in cheek mockery of the X-Games style of mainstream skateboard competitions
